He looks down at her, watching her hair gleam under the streetlight. Like a cat's fur, some of which is entangled between them. Maruki eased up as he tucked the can he had bought between his legs before brushing some of her hair forward, fixing it so that it rested easily on her shoulders.

"The quiet would have been...too quiet if we went home right away, to be honest."
